Anna Coote

New Economics Foundation (NEF)

Anna Coote is principal fellow at the New Economics Foundation (NEF). A leading analyst, writer, and advocate in social policy, she has written widely on social justice, sustainable devel-opment, working time, public health policy, and equality. She directed the Social Guarantee initiative (2021–2024) to develop the theory and practice of universal basic services (UBS). She was Commissioner for Health with the UK Sustainable Development Commission from 2000 to 2009.
