Joachim H. Spangenberg is a senior scientist at the Juelich Research Centre and co-chairs the Steering Committee of the Ecosystem Services Partnership. He recently served on the German Bioeconomy Council and as a member of the Scientific Committee of the European Environment Agency. EEA, Copenhagen, and co-chairs the Steering Committee of the Ecosystem Services Partnership. Earlier, he served on and participated in UN and OECD expert groups on sustainable consumption and on the sustainable development indicators underpinning Agenda 21.
