Kate Burningham is a sociologist in the Department of Sociology, University of Surrey, UK. Her research focuses on the social construction of environmental issues, environmental inequalities, and sustainable lifestyles. She is co-director of CUSP (Centre for the Understanding of Sustain-able Prosperity), where she leads research on social and psychological understandings of “the good life”, and is a co-investigator in the ACCESS Network https://accessnetwork.uk, which aims to raise the profile of environmental social sciences in tackling climate and environmental problems.
