Tessa Avermaete

Run and Harvest

Tessa Avermaete is the founder of Run and Harvest. Tessa holds a PhD in applied biological sci-ences. She is a board member of Groene Kring, the young farmers in Flanders, and was co-chair of the Global Food Security conference 2024. Based on over 20 years of research in the domain of sustainable food systems, Tessa founded Run and Harvest in 2025, which aims at facilitating the constructive dialogue on food and farming between different actors in society.
